Janet Akin brings a wealth of experience to all her real estate transactions. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, she held Director and Vice President positions in the telecommunications and on-line software industries where she managed the marketing, sales and service divisions for several global companies, including Pacific Bell, SBC and 2Bridge Software. Not surprisingly, she leverages the skills and insight she gained from these diverse experiences on each and every client transaction.

Education: Janet holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Golden Gate University, a Sales Associate license from CA Department of Real Estate, is a member of the National Association of Realtors (N.A.R.), California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.), Silicon Valley Association of Realtors (SILVAR) and MLSListings multiple listings service. Janet is certified as a Previews Property Specialist who specializes in the marketing and selling of luxury homes.
Community Service: Janet is a member of the Board of Directors and served as the President and Development Chair for the Lincoln High School Foundation in San Jose. She is also an active mentor for young people in transition, most recently has been mentoring a group of students in the Future Vision Program at Lincoln High School in San Jose.
Family: Janet is married and has three adult children, one of which is Dustin, her business partner. She lives in the Rose Garden area with her husband, Malcolm, and their Australian Shepherd, Ozzie and is second-generation native to San Jose.
Dustin Gutierrez, prior to joining Coldwell Banker, had over twelve years experience in sales and service, with a propensity for seeing the big picture while never losing sight of the important details of every transaction. Perhaps it is from his years of working in operations and sales management that he has earned himself a reputation as the "go to" guy in a crisis. Whatever it is, his clients trust that if Dustin is involved, the transaction will go smoothly and swiftly - most importantly, always, problem-free.
